TIMETABLES

1. In school tennis and after school tennis

TMUK has a big outreach to many primary schools from Walthamstow, such as offering "in school" tennis lessons as well as "after school" ones. The emphasis during these lessons is to create awareness to the enjoyment of tennis amongst the children, and also introduce them to tennis. TMUK offers children a base which they can transform according to their personal preferences, making a hobby out of tennis or a life-long commitment to it.

2. Tots tennis

This category involves teaching tennis to children between the ages of 3 to 5. The emphasize is on agility, balance and co-ordination, which are the first steps to being able to play tennis, or any other sports.

3a. Mini-tennis red

Mini-red tennis players are children aged between 5 and 8 years old. The teaching points for children this age is on developing movement, co-ordination and ball skills, and also offer them a full introduction to the game of tennis.

8 and 9 years old children, who show good knowledge of the mini-tennis red program, are advanced to the mini-tennis orange program. The main focus is on playing the game in a correct manner, as well as beginning to participate to local or club competitions.

3b. Mini-tennis orange

3c. Mini-tennis green

Involving children aged 9 and upwards, this program allows further development to the kids' game, emphasizing on playing matches while showing a good control over the basics of tennis. From this level forward, the children are encouraged to participate in competitions regularly, having the possibility of becoming a professional tennis player in mind.

4. Junior tennis

Beginners, intermediate, or advanced juniors sessions are held for any child above the age of 10 showing potential and willingness to learn and progress. Junior sessions can be more intense, and their structure includes drills and match play tactics. From the Junior groups, children with high potential and ability will be invited to attend Junior Squads and further develop their game.

5. Holiday tennis

Following the motto "Learn while having fun!", the program is meant to provide enjoyment for children, while progressing through the notions of tennis. Children of all abilities between the ages of 5 and 14 are welcome. Activities include games, drills, tactics and match play, and at the end of the sessions prizes can be won. Children are advised to bring a picnic or pack a lunch.

Tennis holidays will commence on Easter Holiday, Half-terms and Summer Holidays.
